They do all they can to screw u out of your check they gave us problems sense day one my son has a disability and they doin all they can to keep from paying him they even owe him money and doin all they can to keep from paying him

Wouldn't even give it one star but I have to to leave a review. The security guy up front was very rude and disrespectful. He inserted himself in a conversation I was having with my dad and I replied to him asking a question and he gave me a smart alec rude reply. So I walked out and will not be going to that office again. They need to screen their employees. The person at the help desk is supposed to be kind and helpful, not rude and condescending. I never leave these reviews but I've never been so insulted by someone's behavior like this enough to leave one and I know if I complain to HR they probably won't anything. And I don't want to call up there and be talked to that way again by him as I'm sure he's the one that answers the phone. . Wanted to update: I did receive a phone call. Which surprised me and made me feel a lot better. Thankful they reached out and apologized for my experience and the matter is being looked into.

Yesterday my dad just come and see if they can change my last name on SSC. I had extend green card from uscis and paper changing name from court. The ladie very sweet and she said to my dad take me go with him tmr and she can do it for me. Then tmr I come the man has tatoo on hand, he do my case, he doesn’t want to do my cases. He even doesn’t look at to my paper case. He said ‘ I need your green Card so I can do it for you’ . But the paper I-797 that extend the green card. Some people if they want to do, they will help you as much they can.

We sent off for a replacement card, had to mail in all documents needed. They lost my wife's social security card, driver's license, and immunization records on my son. I called to see if they might have been left out by mistake and sent later, this has happened in the past. Instead of getting any assistance, I couldn't even get what I needed to say out of my mouth. The employee on the phone told me that I never sent the missing items in. I told him I knew they were sent it, I placed them in the envelope myself,then sealed it. He said again that everything I sent in,was returned in the envelope. He basically called me a liar. According to him,they don't make mistakes. I must be so stupid that I have no idea what documents I sent to them. I ended up hanging up on him due to the rude, insulting, and disrespectful manner of this so called courteous service. I called back about 20 minutes later, hoping to get ahold of the supervisor. The same guy answers the phone. I told him I had just spoken to him earlier, he knew who I was. I told him that I wanted to speak to his supervisor. He said that the supervisor wasn't in. I asked when they would be back in,he said he didn't know. I then had to ask him the same line of questions over and over again until he could actually give an answer that wasn't rude, vague,or insulting.He told me that he personally opened the envelope with all my documents in it, and there were no such documents in it. I found out later that he lied, there's two people who are employees there, who's only job is to open envelopes. But him taking full responsibility for my documents, application, and envelope... Helped me determine that he's the one responsible for the being lost. I was told that he had no clue when his supervisor would be back in,he didn't know her schedule. When she was in the office,they had a supervisor, when she's not,they don't have a supervisor.Finding out that they have a supervisor sometimes, none at other times, nobody to get in case of a question about a case, problem,or procedure... It explains why there's so many things wrong with this place. They have no supervision and can act how they want, help if they want, and work only when they want. He even said it was my fault for mailing it in.Why have an address for people to mail these items in,if you aren't supposed to use it? What's to keep these disgruntled employee's from throwing your documents away so they don't have to do the job they are being paid to do? I know this is a wild accusation, but who's watching them to assure this doesn't happen? I urge you to pull these people's salaries up and ask yourself why we're paying people this much money to barely do a job. What if I was a 70 year old man or woman needing help with their SS check? I had to ask this guy repeatedly, the same questions over and over again before he would even consider transferring me to his supervisor's voicemail. He wouldn't give me her name or anything. I left a voicemail, waited for over two days and never heard a word,I had to call back again. This time it was another guy who was borderline refusing to help me until I gave him my name and SS number. It was at this time, after he asked for the 10th time, that I had to tell him that I pay his salary and I wanted to be transferred to his supervisor's voicemail. He asked which one... I told him whoever was the highest rank. I left a voicemail for this supervisor, and briefly went over what happened. I waited a while before I was able to find the Albertville offices supervisor's number and extension online. I figured I would give her one more try,she answered immediately. These employees will give you every excuse on why they can't transfer you. They work for you, you pay their salary. After all this,they did loose them. The supervisor even said it was quite possible. The employee was having a bad day,was the explanation. I'm not done with it yet, I have to get all this back now on top of the original SS card. Use a different office, worst by far. I never got an apology from him either, just the supervisor.

I made several calls to them and they never called back. I drove personally down to the office only to find they close the office on Wednesdays at 12PM. In the meantime they do not post their entire schedule online so you can plan a visit when they are actually open. IMO that office is a farce.

Be aware that Social Security denies up to 80% of disability claims. If you get denied, call a local attorney/advocate and appeal immediately. You generally will not be charged a fee for representation until after you get approved, and only then if you are approved for back payments. They DO NOT take safeguarding PERSONAL INFO SERIOUSLY! You use a kiosk where everyone can see what your typing!!! Waiting room right next to the window...NO PRIVACY discussing info and personal info!! When you tell them you can't hear they could care less! Social Security offices is a place for identity theft and something needs to be done to give us privacy when discussing personal matters!!!!!!!!

my bank account was hacked and had to change some information with social security... the Albertville office answered my questions and did the changes over the phone.. they were helpful and kept me from having to make a trip to the office.. I really appreciated that.... thank you
